NACTT Academy

The National Association of Chapter Thirteen Trustees (NACTT) has developed a new vehicle for education of bankruptcy professionals as well as the general public. The NACTT Academy, a separate non-profit entity, was created by NACTT to collect and publish educational materials on matters relating to proceedings under Chapter 13 of the US Bankruptcy Code.

The NACTT Academy website www.considerchapter13.org is up and running, offering Chapter 13 educational material to the public.

The NACTT Academy plans to publish material of the highest possible quality on the website with access to the most detailed and extensive materials available only with a paid annual subscription. The Academy intends to fund development of the site with annual membership fees from lawyers, trustees and judges who pay to have full access.

While a number of commercial sites, such as LexisNexis Bankruptcy Law Center provide detailed information about bankruptcy on the internet, the NACTT intends that this new site will provide an impartial and scholarly discussion, from Chapter 13 insiders, focused solely on Chapter 13. Due to the close relationships maintained by NACTT with the bankruptcy judiciary, the Academy hopes to offer many articles authored by sitting bankruptcy judges on their website.
